Penny, the Ostrich

For all those who have visited Nguuni, will have definitely have met our friendly ostrich.

Penny, is a Somali ostrich reared in Kikambala, Kenya and later made her home in Nguuni about 18 years ago.

Ostrich Penny loves human food and is known to eat lots of beans, bread, ugali and chapati along our neighboring food stalls. And enjoys bathing with ash.

She also loves the attention by mingling with children so you can be sure to see her in your photos!
